Presence Film
Soderbergh pushes his creative boundaries through this clever paranormal narrative captured wholly from the perspective of a ghost. After a clan featuring mother Rebekah and troubled teenage daughter Chloe settles into their new suburban house, the camera – representing the ghost – shadows their actions. The Tammy Faye Biopic
In the battle between faith and wealth, the winner is obvious for Mammon in Michael Showalter's delightfully tacky biopic of the disgraced religious broadcaster and her criminal husband. Garfield portrays the corrupt Bakker, who proclaims early on, “God does not want us to be poor,”. He and Tammy Faye commence capitalizing on the American public's religious faith. It's a spectacle of bad interior design, bad makeup and insincerity, however Jessica Chastain manages to depict the real-life figure as a sympathetic figure. Tuesday 14 October, 1.15am, Film4
